Hey weevils! Bunty here with all the latest gossip and news. There鈥檚 a flurry of excitement sweeping through the Binscape at the moment, especially from the likes of Gong and Flip, as the FIFA World Cup kicks off this Thursday! Did you know there will be 48 teams taking part in the World Cup, making this the biggest tournament in history?
I managed to grab a few minutes with Gong, the Bin鈥檚 well鈥慿nown sporting hero, to chat about a fun Sweepstake contest for Weevil News readers! How exciting is that? And now, without further delay, here鈥檚 everything you need to know.
Take part by predicting which teams will finish first, second and third in the tournament. Simply leave your predictions in the comments section. Once your entry is submitted, it cannot be changed, and all predictions must be posted before the first match begins.
SCORING AND PRIZE POOL:
You will earn three points for correctly predicting the winner, two points for the correct runner鈥憉p, and one point for the correct third鈥憄lace team. There is a mega prize pool of 350 Dosh Coins up for grabs, awarded to the weevil with the highest score! If there is a tie, the Dosh will be shared fairly between the tied winners. If nobody scores any points at all, the full 350 Dosh Coins will be distributed equally among all eligible commenters who entered the sweepstake!

All eligible weevils who submit their predictions in the comments will also receive an exclusive Gong and Flip Football Poster!
IMPORANT RULES:
Your comment must include predictions for first, second and third place only. All three teams must be different. Any unsuitable, incomplete or invalid entries will be unapproved. Only one blog comment per person is accepted, and no alt accounts are allowed.

The 2026 World Cup Sweepstake closes on Thursday 11 June 2026 at 7:30PM (UK time). This is before the opening match, Mexico vs South Africa, which kicks off at 8:00PM (BST) on 11/06/2026. No blog comment entries will be accepted after the deadline.
